Squid Game Title Sequence
This is a stop-motion title sequence for the show Squid Game. It follows two pieces of paper folding into Ddakji tiles, which are featured in episode 1 of the show. The main character plays Ddakji and desperately bets on his success as a precursor to being invited into the Squid Game. Watch the scene here.
In total, the piece consists of 900+ individual photos and took about 45 hours to complete.
Over 45 hours, I learned the program Dragonframe, prepped and rigged my pieces, set up the camera and lighting for six different shots, and took an incredible amount of photos. This was completely a passion project, with no ties to school or work, and it was an absolute blast. Thank you especially to Nathan Asquith and Vivian for their assistance and patience in getting me started on this project.
